Monitoring - Effective Friday, May 23, 2025, Canada Post continues to operate with CUPW banning overtime work. Customers may experience delays. At this time, there are NO rotating strikes or national work stoppages.
Effective Sunday, May 18, 2025, UPS will implement a Surge Fee for Air and Ground for UPS shipments as follows: UPS Standard® to Canada: $0.49 USD /pkg, All Other Services to Canada: $0.49 USD/per pound, Canada Origin Domestic: $2.00/pkg CAD, and Canada Export: No Fee.
If a Canada Post labour disruption does occur, the UPS Service Guarantee will be suspended for all services in Canada, and Same Day On-Call Pickup service for UPS Standard® will be suspended. Same Day On-Call Pickup will be available for all other services as well as for next or future-day requests.
Canada Carrier Update
If a CUPW strike occurs, Canpar and Loomis Express will suspend service to all postal codes where Canada Post handles final delivery. ShipStation users will see an error message if attempting to ship to these areas.
